The gardens of Versailles, seen from the back of a horse

There is no better vantage point to understand Versailles than from horseback. The scale of Le Nôtre's allées, the silence between the fountains, the smell of old oak and cut grass — things a tour bus will never give you.

Our philosophy

We believe in horses that are happy before they are useful.

A horse under stress transmits fear. A horse cared for with respect transmits grace.

Horses grazing in the Versailles estate
01

Freedom every day

Our horses work no more than 4 hours a day. The rest of the time, they roam freely in the meadows of the Versailles estate.

02

Natural feeding

Local hay, oats, fresh carrots. No chemical additives. Each horse has personalised nutritional monitoring.

03

Grooming and care

Full grooming before and after every ride. Farrier every 6 weeks.

04

Zero stress, zero force

We never use spurs or restrictive martingales. Our method relies on trust and communication.

Those who have lived it

They came as tourists. They left as something else.

Unique experience

A timeless experience. Walking through Versailles' allées at a gentle pace, with only the sound of hooves — I'll never forget it.

We offered this ride to our parents for their 40th wedding anniversary. They still talk about it. The guide was exceptional, the horses magnificent.

No. No equestrian experience is required. Our horses are specially trained to welcome beginners. A full safety briefing and individual introduction with your horse are carried out before every ride.

How long does the horse ride in Versailles last?

The Royal Experience lasts 2 hours. This includes the arrival briefing, horse introduction, the ride through the gardens, and return to the stables. Allow 2.5 hours total for your day.

Can children join the horse ride?

Yes, from age 8. Children ride on Marquise, our gentlest mare. For younger children (5-7 years), led walks alongside a handler are available as an option.

We ride in all weather except strong winds or electrical storms. If we cancel for weather reasons, you can choose a full refund or a free rescheduling.

Yes. The Full Royal Experience includes entry tickets to both the gardens and the Château de Versailles. No queue — your tickets are prepaid and ready at reception.

How do I get to the stables from Paris?

The stables are accessible by RER C (Versailles-Rive-Gauche station, 40 minutes from Paris). We also offer private transport from your Parisian hotel.
